Here are some pictures of a silver WRX awaiting delivery at my dealers, Quenbys. It has been fitted with every body kit addition available from the Subaru catalogue as well as a Prodrive rear silencer and dark tinting on the windows. I would approximate this little lot cost around £1500 !

Featuring the sports grill with blue Subaru badge, grill side mouldings, front under spoiler, and side bumper flashes.

Along the side just before the rear wheels are the rear sill extension mouldings. Note the dealer has also colour coded the sills to match the body colour. Leaving them black with the silver mouldings would look very odd!

At the rear we find side bumper flashes. It is interesting to compare the rear end of the New Age WRX with an older red MY2000 turbo sitting alongside.

Moving down to a lower viewpoint we can now see the Prodrive single exit silencer plus the rear underspoiler (diffuser) moulding.

Options available for the new WRX are not only limited to official dealership goodies. The Impreza tuning specialists are already developing kit for the New Age Impreza and Scoobysport are one such company.

Seen here during an SIDC trackday at Donington is their demonstrator/development vehicle. The specification is as follows...

• Full Scoobysport turbo back exhaust (down pipe, centre box, rear silencer).
• Leda B01 suspension
• Brembo 305mm 4 pot brake kit
• 18in Speedline GT One alloys
• Scoobysport WRC carbon spoiler
• Hella HID driving lights in place of the fog lights

The full exhaust revitalises the turbo engine which has been choked into submission by regulations and the kick in the pants as the turbo kicks in, something lamented by old style Impreza owners, has been restored! The Leda suspension makes use of the much stiffer chassis to give the Impreza even better handling and surpassing aparently anything achievable on the older model. To exploit all of this larger 18in Speedline alloys are fitted. If you are going faster then braking faster also makes sense and Scoobysport already have a Brembo 4 pot brake kit and 305mm rotors to bring you to a halt. Replacing the standard 4 pot cast iron items on the WRX means that there is better fade resistance because these calipers are manufactured from aluminium which can disipate the heat away from the pad much quicker. Also the larger rotor gives more stopping power due to great mechanical advantage. The rear spoiler raises the looks of the car up above the normal, whilst the Hella HID make normal driving light conversions pale in comparison.

Based near Nottingham, TSL can supply their own version of the WRC wing.

The Morrette headlight replacement set which allows owners to get rid of the bug-eyed look of the New Age car is available from Scoobysport, Scoobymania, TSL and Graham Goode Racing. The picture below is of the same headlight replacement set but have been partially colour coded body colour by TSL. Note also the white reflector on the wing in place of the normal orange one.

GGR also have several other headlamp enhancements available but ensure that these are suitable for the UK/European headlight as some will only be correct for the HID headlights found on the Japanese specification STi.
