I would appreciate the help of people who visit this site with this little project. I thought it would be good to build up an applied model code list similar to that which is available for the Japanese domestic models, but for the UK supplied vehicles. Once this has been done I would then turn my attentions to the other markets to either confirm their similarities or to note the differences.

Also if anyone knows of such a list then could you let me know!

The plate from a silver MY97 turbo saloon

The details required from the plate from your own vehicle are as such.

1. I DO NOT want to know your VIN!
2. Applied model code.
3. Option code
4. Trim code
5. Engine type
6. Colour code
7. Transmission type

   Then from your knowledge of the vehicle I would like the run down of the following.

8. Model year (or if you do not know this the date of registration)
9. 4 door or 5 door.
10. Engine capacity and type (i.e. turbo or normally aspirated)
11. Transmission (auto, manual, 4, 5, 6 gear, 2WD or 4WD)
12. Colour description
13. Interior description (sports seats, alcantara trim, bucket seats)
14. Model description (2.0GL, RB5, etc)

I think that just about covers it. It will be interesting to see if an RB5 with its solid rear bulkhead has the same applied code as a standard MY99 for instance.
